Plan B: The leaves that did stick well were the coffee filter leaves from our previous project. (Yeah! No waste!)
Materials: Thrift store glass (bowls, vases, plates...anything will do the trick), tissue paper, coffee filter leaves, Modge-Podge, foam brushes, hot glue, buttons, and a tea light (probably LED, so kids could keep and use in their own room).
For 5 year old kids - this was a good project, as it did challenge them in some ways. I had to do the gluing of the buttons, but they chose what and where they would embellish. Their pieces look great illuminated :)
