We're Getting Ready for Trick-or-Treat!

Are you ready for Halloween? We sure are! At this months' Kids' Night Out, we made our own cloth Trick-or-Treat bags.

Stamping/stencling away!

Getting quite messy...
We painted both drawstring and tote bags for optimal Halloween candy holding. We then used acrylic paint to decorate them with pumpkins and other Halloween inspired designs. Each bag is unique and ready to go out and collect candy!

Voila!
Handmade sweet little felt flowers added to the cuteness.
Proud little pumpkins!

Fall is Here!

The leaves are starting to change colors, so we celebrated the arrival of Fall by making some colorful leaves of our own! At this week's Saturday Studio Art we painted all different colors, shapes and sizes of leaves (feathers, however you see them).

We made patterns in permanent markers while filling in the colors of the leaves with watercolor paint. While fall leaves are orange, yellow and red, we used all of the colors on the color wheel to paint our creations and discussed color mixing/blending and choosing colors that "worked" together because of the fabulous color wheel. :)

Wine Your Art Out: The Shoe!

There may not have been an Ohio State game this weekend, but that didn't keep us from showing our Buckeye pride! At this week's Wine Your Art Out we filled in our own versions of The Ohio State University stadium also known as "The Shoe."

By using acrylic paint and bringing in our Ohio pride we captured the spirit and excitement of football season!

After our night of painting we have our own recreations of all the energy and excitement in the game. We only have to wait a week for the next game where we can show our O-H-I-O pride! Go Bucks! How Firm Thy Friendship...
