What an art filled month we've had at Art With Anna! Between making collages with our friends at the Bexley Fourth of July Celebration...

Painting our own fireworks shows on Fourth of July Weekend at Saturday Studio Art...

Having a blast making watercolor mosaics at Kids' Night Out...

And Wine Your Art Out by painting beautiful flowers...

We've been having a great summer - busy, that's for sure. We can't wait to see what art, memories, moments of joy, and good feelings we can create in August. XO

Friday Night Art Fun

Last Friday at Art with Anna we had a Kids' Night Out filled with pizza and painting! Our project of the month was to use watercolor to make designs and cut them into pieces and assemble on canvas to create a mosaic-look-alike. 

After we painted our sheets we had the option to explore bubble wrap, eye droppers with rubbing alcohol, and salt to make artsy designs and textures.

After drying all of our sheets it was time to add designs to the watercolor paintings. Here's one of our art teachers, Jennilyn, showing the girls some ideas for designs!

What a beautiful mess those hands and tables became!

Want to join in on the fun? Kids' Night Out happens the 2nd Friday of every month, ages 4 and up. Drop-off your gaggle of kiddos and enjoy your evening out, too!

Fourth of July: A Creative Community

The Fourth of July is all about spending time with family and friends to celebrate our country. For now the second year in a row, we expanded our family and shared our holiday with the Bexley Fireworks Celebration! Anyone who cared to try - we helped teach them steps to create their own star-spangled mosaic paper art.

We worked and learned together to celebrate the good ol' red, white and blue. Whether it was was through decorating paper glasses or making a collage, we made all of our art unique and special. 

A special thanks to everyone who came to share our love of art, community, and freedom - we hope to see you again at Art With Anna soon!

The next day, we continued our our Independence Day celebrations with Saturday Studio Art where we made our own fireworks show.
